Not only is there the chance that Peterson is still there at #4, but I wouldn't be disappointed if we dropped down and still grabbed one of the guys from Badmoon's list of players and gained the additional draft picks to be able to manuever into higher picks.

I really don't think you trade the #1 pick, though, especially when there is a legitimate RB threat sitting at the top of the board.

A couple other of my quick thoughts:
WR should never be drafted in the first round unless that is the only weakness on your team. There is too much talent at this position readily available in every draft and free agency. There will be solid receivers available in the third round this year.

Quick, name all the great Raider QB's drafted in the first round? Marc Wilson? Nope. Todd Marinovich? Nope. Eldridge Dickey? Nope. The only great Raider QB we ever drafted was Stabler and that was in the 2nd round (after Dickey and in the same draft as Shell, Hubbard, and Atkinson). I suppose Flores counts as being drafted as well, but that was a long time ago. The other great Raider QB's; Plunkett, Lamonica, Gannon, and Collins (just kidding...lol) we grabbed off the trash heap and resuscitated their careers. I am not saying we can't develop or own or that we should always keep doing what we've done, but I do think we've proven throughout our history that we can build a winner without having to draft the hyped QB.
Don't worry about the double post

You hit the nail on the head with your assessment of drafting a QB in the first round. Nothing but heartache will follow unless we go back to 1983 ( Marino's Class ) I also agree with your assessment of the WR situation. It takes at least 2 or 3 years to reap any benefits from drafting a WR. We really don't need to draft in that Area even if Moss gets traded. We have Curry, Madsen, Gabriel, Francis, Morant and ... Alvis "James Jett" Whitted.

I can't say it enough... WE NEED A RB!!! and offensive line help.
