I have never been this nervous about a game 1. You’d think I was the one suiting up and playing. Well here are the keys to victory in no specific order:

1. I know everyone is saying run, run, run. Don’t get me wrong we must run, but we may want to run some short over the middle or sideline passes early. This will help setup the run.

2. Our OL MUST establish themselves early if we want any type of success.
The short passes will also show how our pass blocking will fair against a tough front four. If the pass blocking sucks, so will the run blocking.

2. Stop LT! (no Pyritt!!!...lol) Easier said than done, but we can do it. We have the speed now, but speedy defensive players tend to over pursue, a death sentence to any defensive player going against LT. Our guys must have the discipline to stay with the play and not over pursue.

This is not a normal game 1. If we are to be takin’ seriously, this is a MUST win. You know Art is telling the players all the crap Marty has been talking all week about “Raider Week”. If the Raiders take control of this game early, it’s going to be a long day at the office for the Chargers. I know that’s a big “if” but with Big Art at the helm, I am confident! Let’s do this!!

I agree with your assessment about passing to establish the run, but Art is going to punch people in the mouth and ask questions in the second half... The question will be... You want some more. Look for jordan to have about 110 - 125 yards rushing and Randy Moss to have a huge game.
