When I was watching the defense play, it felt like I was watching a super bowl bound team. When I was watching the offense, it felt like I was watching the pee wee league team. How can a team be so different on each side of the ball? UNREAL!! Start Walters from now on. Get the 2nd team O line in there. SHITCAN GALLERY!!!!! I can't take this for the entire season. My NFC team is the Lions, I just may become a larger Lions fan this season.

Now that I am a tad bit sober, here goes my rant:

Art Shell is right; This offense does work. But he is dead wrong when he says he has the personnel to run it. We don't have the personnel especially at the OL. Gallery and Sims were MANHANDLED all night long. BTW, I think we can now say Gallery is a BUST!
We kept doing those 7 step drops and running 10 to 15 yard patterns. That will not work when you are averaging 2 yards per run. We should've at least put Brooks in the shotgun to give him sometime. I hate to say it, but some of us were suspect about Tom Walsh running this offense. It seems they were right. Why the hell would you keep running 7 step drop plays, that take 7+ seconds (an ETERNITY in football) to develop? Why would you do this when you have no running game?

Lamont Jordan is not the back for this offense. Correction; he can be, but we need a dominant OL and I mean dominant. He is not a cut back runner and he never will be. Don't get me wrong, I like Jordan and I admire his work ethic with this team.

Bottom line is this; We need to setup the run with short, safe passes. It's going to be another long year if we don't. We do not have the personnel for these long ass pass plays to develop, and sadly they ONLY develop with a great running threat which we severely lack. Something must be done with that left side of our OL. I don't know who is Gallery's backup, but we just cannot let the guys run rampant in our back field. A change has to be made. Last year we ran a shotgun offense with an immobile QB. If we run a shotgun with Brooks at least that will give Brooks the time to survey the field a little longer and maybe make something happen with his legs if need be. You can’t step up and pass when guys are in your face before you set.

If you think Walters is the answer, he is not. Even with Walters in the game you would see an opposing defensive jail break cuz our OL sucks. And because we have no running game, and because our pass plays are always 7 step drops with 10-15 yard pass patterns that take an UNGODLY amount of time to develop, Walters would get killed.

Walters at least moved and scramble out of the way. Brooks looked like Kerry Collins. Nothing different. When he decided to use those wheels of his, he waited until it was too late and he couldn't escape the defense. I agree with you, the O-line needs help, BAD! It just looked to me that Walters showed a little more poise back there. But to be honest, we could have a Manning/Vick hybrid back there, and with our line, he'd get killed too.

Brooks was not even set most of the time. I cannot blame the majority of those sacks on him for holding onto the ball too long, when the plays that were called were deep down the field, with no outlet receiver.

Well.... After A Night With No Sleep, I Had Alot To Think About,brooks Needs To Stop Those Stupid Long Drops!!!!!! Obviously, But Come On 75% Of The Time Was Because The O-line Gave Him Less Than 3 Seconds To Get The Ball And Find A Reciever!!! But The Othe 25% He Held On To The Ball Way Too Long!!!!
I Could Have Thrown The Damb Remote At Theat Piece Of Shit Te Of Ours !!!!!!!! He Should Have Coought 3 Passes!!!!! Moss Actually Got The Ball Wich Was A Shocker!
The D-line Was "b" Material, But The Secondary Can Be Better

I Think That If The O-line Would Have Had Atleast A "c" Game, We Could Have Had A Win, Honestly The Chargers Didint Look Great!
