Here is my second opinion of the day. Gallery could have been everything that we believed he would be. It's not that he is a bust but that bad coaching probably destroyed this guys career. It might be to late for a hall of fame o-line guy like Art Shell to help. It's sad really when you think about it. I've said it a million times on this forum. You draft a guy like Gallery, put him at his natural LT position and have him start there for the next 15-20 years. You don't make him shift from RT and Guard in his rookie year where it is soooo important to be comfortable while adjusting to the speed of the game. Then you make him a full time RT his second year where he has to learn how to play almost backwards because of him playing LT in college. It is not the same. When you play on the opposite side of the line you push off with your opposite foot and your strenght is shifted to the side of your body your not used to using. That's where bad habits are developed. It's also how injuries happen. I believe Gallery was put on the IR last season as a direct result of all of this. The injury now could hurt his career as well. It's almost like trying to play basketball left handed when you have been right handed your whole life. Still, after 2 years on the right side of the line you are going to adapt. He was getting more and more used to the right side and now this year, once again, he has been shifted to another spot. Sure he is finally back on the LT position but now he has to try and retrain his brain yet again. It just might be too late. Blame ty ass N. Turner for ruining a good young kids career.

From what I saw Gallery was not meeting the defensive player at the point of attack. He kept stepping backwards. I don’t much about OL footwork but I do know you should meet the player head on. Gallery did seem to be doing that. I do agree though that moving all over the damn line could’ve been detrimental.
