Rookie SS Michael Huff has been everything the Raiders hoped for so far. He has a strong on-field presence, isn't afraid to stick his nose in a pile and shows the capability of being a strong leader. They haven't had that kind of feeling about a rookie defensive back since Charles Woodson arrived in 1998. At this rate, Huff is destined to be an immediate starter and key figure on Oakland's defense for years to come.

so.. rumur has it that art shell is puting the team back into shape, even to the point that theyll be too worn out for the start of the season whats yopu guyses take on this rumur?

Well IMO players should be used to getting in shape as they do this year in and year out. Somehow I doubt that Shell will run them into the ground so badly that they can't play during the reg. season, it's a rumor, and most rumors like this are bogus, if I were a Raider fan (and heaven forbid that would ever happen) I would dismiss that rumor as a crock of . Professional athletes are hard to run into the ground during the preseason.

The last three years have been tough,and if you can get run into the ground during training camp you really aren't worth a sh't to any team,the last three years can be blamed on conditioning to some extent ,we played good at times early,but once we started sucking wind it was over.

Also Art left mid 90s,but he also coached other teams,like the Chumps and Falcons,and while there those teams were winners,and I'm sure Art knows how to get a team ready for the season.

A team can never have too much endurance. The key is giving them rest at the correct times during the season. Anyone who thinks that training camp is going to sap the team is either delusional or overly emotional!

If Shell is going to institute a physical team... the team has to have the stamina to go 15 rounds ( 12 rounds is for sissys ) toe to toe. This team is being built to impose its will on opponents!
