I am a 49ers fan and a regular at the niners .com MB. I feel for you guys and what you are going through, not to long ago the niners were going through the same thing. So with that said I am going to give you my opinion on the whole situation.

First off before I do that I want to say that I think it is a classy move by Al Davis and the Raiders organization to propose the Bill Walsh award and all of the nice things he had to say about him.


I think that JaMarcus Russell needs to cut the BS and get into camp. He won't start this season but he needs to learn and more importantly needs to gain the respect of his teammates if he is ever planning on being the leader of that team. I think that you guys will bounce between McCown and Culpepper. Culpepper will start more games but don't expect a pro-bowl type year. He will throw more picks than TD's and he will miss time from injury. Your D should do good again. I will say they will be ranked around 12-15 because they will probably not see the sidelines very much. If the raiders score at least 17 points in a given game then you have a chance to win.

So my final prediction: 4-12

So, basically, you're coming in here, and telling us in nice words, that you think we are going to suck. How can you predict that our defense will be ranked somewhere around 12th to 15th when we had the number 3 defense last season, and we have as good a defense this season as last, if not better? Thanks for giving us a "chance" to win if we score 17 points in a game. Any team that has half a good defense should win just about game if they score 17 points a game. You'll be glad to read what we think of the niners? Ok. I think they were a good team back in the day, and they SUCKED lately, and they are just getting back. And I think that you have a lot of balls to come in here and talk trash through smiling teeth.

So... my 4-12 prediction was off the wall? You guys need to not be homers and realize that the raiders aren't going to be good. I was giving a REALISTIC prediction.

Just outta curiosity, break down the schedule for us and tell us which 4 teams we win against. Tell us why you think will win those 4 games.

Hey man I am a realist. I never said anything about playoffs. But, I do believe we will be better than 4-12. As far as you asking me to break down my reason why, you brought it up 1st so I am curious about what you base your prediction on. If you cannot do that you are just here talking a bunch of crap. And honestly, I can deal with the trash talk. Just don't sugar coat it with this "I really feel for you guys.." BS.

What do you want me to say? That the raiders are a playoff caliber team? Because they're not. I do think they will recover though, because all teams do. I predict you guys to be in the middle in D because it's hard for any team to be in the top 5 for consecutive years, let alone the raiders who have a horrible offense. The raiders need to find themselves a RB who can carry the load.

We are back to square one. You come in here with this BS and your "REALISTIC" prediction of 4-12. You give no analysis for that prediction. Admit it. You came to talk shit. That's fine. We get it all the time. But, if you wanna talk football then state your case as to why we will be 4-12. I personally am not giving you my prediction until you give me a reason for yours.

The reason the Raiders will go 4-12 is because of inexpierence mixed with talent problems. There is no doubt that the Raiders defense will be good. The reason I have them listed 12-15 is because the offense is going to be very below average this year. There will be games where the Raiders D will outscore the Raiders O. The starting QB for you guys is Dante Culpepper, he use to be a good QB. He may still be, but there are to many question marks on whether or not he'll be productive this season. I believe that because of the Raiders WR corps, or lack thereof, that it will force Culpepper to buy time by moving out of the pocket and at times that pocket will collapse and he will be getting hit constantly. Teams will start to figure out that if they cover the Raiders WR's and send 4 rushers with 1 guy acting as a spy to Culpepper that they will be fairly easy to stop. Because of this Culpepper will take a beating and not be able to get any consistency going with Porter.

So when I look at all of this it seems that 4-12 is about right. Some people would say I am being generous with the 4-12.

Now give me your thoughts on how the Raiders will do.

Wow.. Thank you so much for being generous. :-) It seems to me you are going by last years fiasco. The scheme on offense will be very different this year. And the players seem to be buying into Kiffin's new system. The new zone blocking scheme will protect whomever is at QB better. Our running corp is stacked and I do not even begin to understand your "lack thereof" comment about our receiving corp..ROFL!!! I will not even argue such a ridiculous statement. Looking at the schedule I see 8 wins.

And btw, the offense was well below average last year and we still put up the #3 defense in the league. I do not believe the defense will be on the field close to what it was last year. Besides, how could we win 4 games this year and be ranked on D 12-15, when last year we won only 2 games and were ranked #3? Our defense on paper is already better than last years. You make no sense.

No, I don't want you to say anything like we are going to go to the playoffs backtoglory49. We all know it's true. But to say that we are going to suck....how can you say that? Are you an NFL analyst? You say inexperience, but by who? Our rookies? There might be one or two rookies starting this year. OH BOY!! The rookie coach who only was assistant head coach under Pete Carroll, for USC who's very ambitous? Also, they have THREE new QBs, their offensive line was never all THAT bad, it was the coaches, and we got some new offensive lineman. So maybe, just maybe, they will improve. It's not out of the question that they can improve. I hear Culpepper is settling right in to the mentor role. If he doesn't start, he's ok with that. Kiffin said that there's a 33% chance that Culpepper will start. The only one who doesn't have a chance of starting is Russell. I like the way that the new coaching staff is handling the team. They are showing promise. We've got plenty of depth at RB with Rhodes, Jordan, Bush, Griffith, & Fargas. We also have Porter, Williams, Curry, Gabriel, and even Morant. We ALSO got ourselves a decent TE corp. Hmmm....that's a lot of players that you claim we don't have.
What about the niners though. They just lost their offensive guru Turner. What are they going to do? I say they are going to flop. The offense will be flat. Tell you what... when the Raiders have a better record than the niners this year, then you won't be coming in here with your little attitude.
