We will beat them - IF we stop the damn run! We can't afford 150+ yards rushing. KC can't score in the red zone, Dungver can!

Lets put this week to music and to Quote John Lennon.."Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones"
Hit It Bob!
You walk into the room
With your pencil in your hand
You see somebody naked
And you say, "Who is that man?"
You try so hard
But you don't understand
Just what you'll say
When you get home
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
You raise up your head
And you ask, "Is this where it is?"
And somebody points to you and says
"It's his"
And you say, "What's mine?"
And somebody else says, "Where what is?"
And you say, "Oh my God
Am I here all alone?"
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
You hand in your ticket
And you go watch the geek
Who immediately walks up to you
When he hears you speak
And says, "How does it feel
To be such a freak?"
And you say, "Impossible"
As he hands you a bone
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
You have many contacts
Among the lumberjacks
To get you facts
When someone attacks your imagination
But nobody has any respect
Anyway they already expect you
To just give a check
To tax-deductible charity organizations
You've been with the professors
And they've all liked your looks
With great lawyers you have
Discussed lepers and crooks
You've been through all of
F. Scott Fitzgerald's books
You're very well read
It's well known
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
Well, the sword swallower, he comes up to you
And then he kneels
He crosses himself
And then he clicks his high heels
And without further notice
He asks you how it feels
And he says, "Here is your throat back
Thanks for the loan"
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
Now you see this one-eyed midget
Shouting the word "NOW"
And you say, "For what reason?"
And he says, "How?"
And you say, "What does this mean?"
And he screams back, "You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home"
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?
Well, you walk into the room
Like a camel and then you frown
You put your eyes in your pocket
And your nose on the ground
There ought to be a law
Against you comin' around
You should be made
To wear earphones
Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?

If f'n Kolby Smith can shred your run defense, I would expect Denver's RBs to do the same. If Oakland CAN stop the run, the game could come down to turnovers. I don't see Cutler having much success against the Oakland pass defense...

I don't see Cutler having much success against the Oakland pass defense... | I wouldn't really call Smiths day shredding our defense. We give up a few big plays every week which inflates the numbers. The difference with us playing the mules is the similarities of the running games. Our defense knows how it operates now because they practiced against it all year. There is game film available for the newest cookie cutter RB in dungver so that advantage is minimized unlike the surprise of kolby smith. I agree with your assessment though. The way to beat us would be the running game. It won't be easy though.
I absolutely agree with the passing game. The first weakness is the Mechanics of Cutler. If we get any pressure on him he will lose all proper mechanics and make terrible throws. He relies on his arm too much to bail him out. The biggest problem that we had prior to Michael Huff was covering the TE. Well we played against Gates & Gonzales and came out ahead in that department. The chiefs barely completed any passes to Gonzales this week. Sheffler isn't in their league so, we should be ok against the TE. The problem starts with Brandon Muleshall. He's strong and runs good routes. If he's lined up against Asomugha I don't see any advantage for the mules. If he's lined up against Routt we need to bring help over the top. We have washington for Stokley in the slot... Overall we should shut you down if we get pressure. Long day for the Donks.

It's difficult to make any predictions for this game if Kiffin does start the rook. I really like our odds if he starts Culpepper or McCown, though. Preferably McCown....
Injuries at RB are a concern... both Selvin Young and Travis Henry were inactive yesterday, and Hall suffered an ankle sprain. But even Cecil Sapp could prolly rush for over a hundred against your run defense. LOL
Should be a good game. Here's to no major injuries on either team.

Should be a good game. Here's to no major injuries on either team. | If I were you I would re-evaluate... The only reason the jackasses won the first game was missed field goals by Shank. Our QB played well enough and we Gashed you with the run. I'm a raider fan and I'm guilty of the next fact. If you go play by play it becomes obvious that almost every running back that faced us has made huge runs. Larry Johnson was held under under 100 if he didn't get that 50+ yard run... I'm guilty of being hyper critical about 100 yard rushers. That stat really doesn't mean squat if you look at how many points we give up etc. So, sapp or hall might have some big runs but they will not dominate the game.
Now, take a look at your defensive line vs our offensive line... there is no advantage for your defense... Tom Cable made adjustments for the cheeps game and Jared Allen was neutralized. Same story for your undersized paultry defense.

Same story for your undersized paultry defense. | Our offense is better than it was in Week Two. Cutler is becoming more comfortable with his receivers, particularly Marshall and Scheffler, but Stokley has picked up some key yardage as well.
As I said above, I'm most concerned about all the injuries at the RB position...and youth/inexperience on both of our lines could be problematic as well. Sims and Gallery should be good for a few penalties...
