| | - First name is pronounced DAHN-el
- Preseason foot injury forced him onto the sideline for his rookie season in NFL
- Three-year letterman and two-year starter at Clemson, earning second-team All-ACC honors in 2003
- Looked up to former Packers defensive end Reggie White, whom he met when White spoke to Clemson’s football team; saw him as a great inspirational leader
- Raises pit bulls, he currently has 13 of them

A good move. We really needed a big run stuffing d-tackle on the roster. T.Kelly and Sapp will start and play all passing downs with Washington and Sands playing on all rushing downs. Grady Jackson might also be brought in to compete for a roster spot so look for some good competition in camp at DT. This move makes me feel a lot better about our versatility at that position.

This is a great move. This kid had plenty of potential coming out of college. Hopefully he will be our new Derrick Burgess.

I always suspected the Art would have the Defense play more than the half a quarter they have been playing, but still I don't like Ryan who wont be there long I believe, and I still feel something is missing, the DBs have been so bad the last 15 years its hard for me to believe they will suddenly be decent, but if we can stuff the run I guess that half the battle.
We still need to get a pool going on what quarter of what game Woodson will get injured in the year, because I stand by that prediction baby! ,best move all season by a mile telling him to Pack his bags.

Someone please explain to me why this is a good pick up? This guy, from what I have read on him, seems the classic "has all the skills to be an All-Pro, yet has under achieved when given the opportunity.." player. I know he was injured one year, but the next year the Packards did not like this guys work ethic.
I really hope if anyone can motivate this guy Art can. But, I would not have taken a chance on him (I guess that is why I am only an arm chair coach...lol).

Kevin Hale, of Raiders.com, reports Oakland Raiders QB Aaron Brooks has not received word that he will be the starter for the 2006 season, but he said he will continue to compete for the starting position until the coaching staff has made their decision. "I come in thinking I'm going to have to compete anyway, nothing is given, so with that mind set I'm just going to continue to go out there and work hard, do the best I can, and let the coaches make that decision," Brooks said.

I'm loving this... Nobody should be told they have the job until camp is over!

Burgess played "well" before he got injured in Philly. Last year he played great. Williams has yet to play at all. He's been warming the bench. I think this is a huge gamble. But, you guys are right. We do need the beef on the D-Line.
