Thats true, she has spent her life being told that money can buy anything... but she is learning its not...

Frankly, I am disgusted by the celebrity obsessed culture...

The really important things in life... like personal integrity... can't be bought.

Definitely love. And respect. It has to be earned.

Exactly...

IMO, anything of true value can never be purchased.

I was born into the working class, and will likely die as a member of said class, but regardless, I was taught that people were much more valuable than anything material.

I had the lesson reinforced a few years ago when I literally lost almost everything I had when I had to bail out of the place I was staying a few years ago... damn psycho roommates...

People are definitely more important than any material possessions....

Sorry to hear that you had to deal with psycho roommates... sounds like an interesting story, though....

You should tell me sometime. Hopefully the memorabilia was the replaceable sort of stuff and not one-of-a-kind autographed items....

Not one of a kind autographs...

It was a gang of Raider football cards that I had collected over the years... Stabler, Willie Brown, Tim Brown, Jim Otto, and many others...

I don't know or care about the monetary value, I had spent YEARS building up that collection.... Losing that, and the writing that was on the hard drive of the computer I had to leave is what sucked... everything else was replacable easily.

So... was the psycho a Raider fan? I mean, if the collection is still being enjoyed by a true fan of the team, it would be easier to take than if they're not being appreciated.

If so, one can only hope that they ended up in the possession of a fan who appreciates their value....
