Ive been rolling this one around in my head for over a week. Picks vs Fabian. Ive always liked Washington & think he could, in time, be one of the top corners in the game. But, that first round pick looks awfully lonely, not haveing any 2nd or even 3rd round picks to keep it conpany. As much as I hate putting on my blind fold & tossing money filled hope darts at the rotating dart bord of over hyped, unproven talent that is the NLF Draft, we do need more high side picks. I think that befor the pats are on the clock for the first time we will have delt more than Fabian & we'll have a few more picks & a few less vets. To me, though, draft picks equal hope & veteran players equal knowing exactly what youve got, what he can do & what hes worth. What it boils down to is, I guess, I hate rookies; rookie mistakes, rookie learning curves, rookie diapointments, rookie hype. I am, however, smart enough to understand that we most have them, they are the future, but that doesnt meen I have to like it. I guess I just think the NFL needs a new system, some thing other than paying the national debt for a top 5 pick & if he doesnt work out you get another top 5 pick & the national debt comes with it. I dont know the answer, but I do know there are smarter people than myself out there that are Not even trying to come up with one.
