Looks like the flee infestation of stupid ass noob posters has finally destroyed that termite infested server. This has to be the longest fan site outtage in the history of Bulletin boards... Taco should be ashamed!

No, the Orange Mane is not dead -- we are coming back. Yes, this is irritating -- It wasn't planned. I'm going to do everything I can to salvage the database, but right now I have as much access to it as anybody here -- none. I'm expecting a server reboot soon.

There's a lot of silver lining in this though that I should mention. Supposedly - and I'll believe it when I see it - this new server is supposed to be able to handle *any* amount of traffic that we throw at it. It's a server cloud that scales up as the needs of the site require it to. If it works like advertised, we'll be able to bring back avatars and have more than 200 people on the site at the same time without a problem. I'll be honest: I've got my hopes up about this new platform.

Sorry for the problems -- but I've got the Daedalus fired up and on the way ready to transport people back home.

If I am interpreting this correctly... Taco said he will bring OM back... after the Raider game to avoid the early season meltdown.

Hopefully it won't be much longer before TJ has it fixed.

Hopefully the termites ( or should I say fleas on the mule ) will give up and return to broncomania so, we can get back to real football conversation in the mangy abyss!

I'd suspect that traffic to the site may be a bit slower (at first anyway) once it's back... but training camp always brings a significant number of new members. I really hope the new server is as good as they say it is.

The growth of the site was way bigger and faster than most of us ever thought it could be. There's a lot of positives in a smaller online community... while growth does bring some positive changes too, it does make it harder to keep up with everything that's going on or to interact with everyone.
