The SF Chronicle is reporting that the Oakland Raiders have come to terms with first round draft pick Darren McFadden on a deal that is going to make him a boat load of money over the next six years. This is a refreshing turn of events after last year’s protracted and often contentious holdout from JaMarcus Russell.
I'm glad to see that the deal is done and I agree with everyone the most important signing is Asomugha. A whole bunch of people will probably say that McFadden got too much money. I saw the comparison to Gaines Adams??? Ok they were both in the 4th postiion but they play different positions. RB vs DE... I'll leave it there!
I think most all rookies get too much money for never playing a pro down. I am glad they got the deal done though, but I think it took them so long to do Russells deal was because they didnt want him to have much playing time his first year so they took their time. The Aso contract is starting to make me a little twichy.

Acutally, I'm glad that Al and Jerry Jones are pushing the envelope. They are making sure that the issue of rookies getting huge salaries is up front. The plan seems to be to expose it so that it is corrected during this round of barganing.
