Off-the-field problems continue to wreak havoc on the Jaguars. On Saturday, Jacksonville police arrested second-year offensive tackle Richard Collier for driving under the influence and rookie linebacker Justin Durant on charges of resisting arrest without violence. It’s unclear whether the incidents are related, but based on police reports they don’t appear to be. With the arrests on Saturday, the Jaguars now have been involved with nine incidents (eight arrests) with law enforcement since January of 2006. At approximately 4 p.m. Saturday, Collier remained in custody, according to jail officials. Durant was released Saturday from the Duval County jail on $2,500 bail. Neither made the trip to New Orleans and team officials will send out a statement regarding the matters sometime today.
